The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has released a new app for iOS and Android users that enables Aadhaar holders to download their Aadhaar details on mobile phones.

The app is meant to carry residents’ Aadhaar number and demographics data, like name, date of birth, gender, address and photograph.The app may be downloaded through the Google play app store on mobile numbers registered in UIDAI’s database.
UIDAI, in a tweet, said, "Uninstall any previously installed versions of the mAadhaar app from your mobile.Download and install the New mAadhaar App."

The latest version of mAadhaar app has two major sections:
1) Aadhaar Services Dashboard:Single window for all Aadhaar online services applicable to any Aadhaar holder.2) My Aadhaar Section: personalised space for the Aadhaar profiles you add on your app for the selected profile.
Some of the benefits of mAadhaar app are listed as under:The Aadhar Card is now available at fingertips.This updated mobile app has become more accessible as the cardholders can carry their 12-digit unique identity number in a digital form.With the newly updated app, Aadhaar cardholders can easily lock or unlock their biometrics identification services at any time.Due to any issue, if the Aadhaar OTp is not sent to the mobile number, one can use the Time-based OTp (TOTp) facility of the mAadhaar app that is valid only for 30 seconds.Leakage of any data can be avoided by this mAadhaar as it allows users to share their details using the QR code.A user can share his eKYC through message or email directly.Furthermore, a new Aadhar card can be printed from the mAadhar app, under the "Order Aadhar print" option, one has to provide required Aadhar details for verification process and make a payment.The new Aadhar card will be delivered to the user"s address.
